How to Get Rid Clogged Pores on Face with Home Remedy

There are many pores in the skin that can be clogged with dirt, oil, grime, dead or dry skin. Pores can also get clogged because of inflammation of the skin due to excess white blood cells. It is really important to keep the clogs free because clean pores help prevent acne, black heads and white heads. The best way to keep the pores is to have good daily skin care regimen because cleaned skin does not get any dirt on it.


Skin Exfoliation

Regular exfoliation is the best way to cleanse the skin and get rid of clogged pores. It removes dead cells, dirt, oil and other impurities that are the causes of clogged pores.

There are many home remedies that have found to be effective to keep the skin clean and smooth.


Steam Skincare Routine

Getting steam on the face especially in the T-zone like head, nose and chin is an instant way to open clogged pores. Steam opens the tight pores and all dirt trapped inside can be easily washed away. To get the steam, take a bowl of water having hot water and take your face above that pot to allow steam touch your skin. To avoid escaping of the steam you can cover your head with a dry towel. It will trap the steam inside and you will get it properly. You can steam the face twice a week.


Sugar for your Skin

Sugar is a natural exfoliating ingredient that breaks scar tissue and unclogs the pores. Take icing sugar and mix it with some lemon juice and water to make a thick paste. Apply this on affected skin area. Massage gently for five minutes in circular motion to remove dead skin cells. Rinse off with cool water. Apply a good moisturizer after that. Repeat this procedure once a week.

Egg Mask

Take one or two egg whites and apply over cleansed skin. You can also mix honey into it. Leave for 15 minutes or until dry. Wash off with water and pat dry. Whip egg yolks and apply to the face for tightening the pores and giving nourishment to the skin but yolks are optional. Use egg mask once a week.


Parsley for Skin

Parsley balances excess secretion of sebum in the skin. It has natural astringent properties that help keep the pores clear. Take few parsley springs and wash them. Soak in hot water and allow it to cool down. Dip a washcloth into this water and wring the excess from it. Dab this cloth to the face for 10 to 15 minutes and repeat it daily.

Clay mask is good to clean clogged pores because clay pulls out toxins from the skin. Take 1 tbsp bentonite clay, mix it with 1 tbsp water and 1 tbsp oatmeal to make a paste. Apply it all over the face or the affected skin. Leave for 10 to 15 minutes or until its fully dry. Rinse off with water and pat dry. Moisturize the skin. Repeat this process once a week to have clear pores.

You can add activated charcoal into the bentonite clay.
