Managing Oily Skin Effectively

Oily skin is prone to acne, pimples, black heads and white heads more than any other skin type. That’s why it’s quite difficult to follow a good skin care program for that. Since, its glands produce oil in excess, it’s important to remove it and let it stay healthy, fresh, glowing and flawless.
Consider these steps to take care of your oily skin.

Regular cleansing

Deeply cleanse your oily skin several times a day using a good quality face-wash or soap. You can also use cleansing milk, toner and any other homemade product to keep it clean all the time. This type of skin attracts dirt easily, especially if you move outdoors frequently. Since, pores are open mostly, dirt settles in them causing spots, black heads, acne, pimples and other marks. Avoid touching your face with hands or finger tips because germs can get transferred instantly. Use a sterilized cotton swab or clean face towel instead. When applying any skin ointment, avoid using your fingers. Take a brush or cotton bud for that. Toners are good for removing any leftover dirt particle from the skin after cleansing is done.

Removing dead layer from skin is essential as it helps regenerate new cells and keeps it fresh. Take a scrub made with natural ingredients such as almonds and coffee beans. You can also make one at home. Apply it over face especially T-zone: forehead, nose and chin where whiteheads develop the most. Massage gently taking care it does not come closer to eyes. Remove with sponge or wash it well.

These are an excellent product to keep oily skin tight, firm and fresh. Apply on your face after scrubbing is completed. Let it stay for 15 to 20 minutes and then remove with sponge or water.
Honey mask is one of the best oily skin care product you can ever have. It can be used alone or combined with other ingredients. For a simple honey mask, warm a few grams of pure honey and apply it all over the face. When it gets dry, massage lightly in circular motion using finger tips. Remove with sponge.
Fruit masks and mud masks are also great for oily skin. These can be applied daily or every alternate day if skin it too oily. Consult with an expert before using any product on your own.

Healthy diet

Take fresh fruits, raw vegetables, whole grain cereals, lean meat and plenty of water daily to keep skin fresh.
