Baking soda

The simplest remedy to whiten your teeth is baking soda. To use it, rub your teeth every morning and evening with it. You can also apply a paste over it and brush vigorously on upper and lower teeth. Do it every day for several weeks or months depending upon the intensity of condition.

Lemon juice and baking soda

Sodium bicarbonate or baking soda has an abrasive property that works as the scrub to take away stains and spots on a surface of teeth making them white. Its alkaline effect is good to cure acidity in a mouth that occurs after eating acidic foods like citrus fruits, bar be cue and grilled meat. Lemon juice and baking soda paste fights enamel on teeth by balancing pH level. It works as the natural bleaching agent to whiten teeth. You can also use baking soda and water mixture on some days and lemon juice on other days.
Take a few teaspoons of baking soda and add lemon juice or water to make a paste. Clean your teeth and make sure they are dry enough to take on the paste. Apply this paste for a minute and wash off. If you are using water, leave it for three minutes or more.

Fruit peel

Take peel of orange or banana and rub vigorously all over teeth to whiten them. Several minerals in them work together to whiten them.

Hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide cleans small wounds and cuts but there is another benefit of this product. Its use to whiten the teeth. Drop it over your regular toothpaste and brush the teeth. You can also dip a cotton swab and rub over teeth for a few minutes. It will brighten their color in a few weeks.

Teeth-friendly foods

Eat foods that don’t stain your teeth and adversely affect their white shiny tint. There are some beverages like coffee, soda drinks, red wine and tea that affect their natural color. Eat celery, carrots and apples because they trigger saliva production in mouth and help remove plaque. Additionally, vitamin C in these foods fights bacteria that cause odor in mouth and it also makes gums strong.
